Community and Comment Policy

The Current welcomes disagreement, criticism and debate. Comments are not removed simply because they criticize our reporting, our journalists or the institutions we cover.

We may hide or remove comments containing harassment, threats, hate speech, personal information, spam, or other material that prevents constructive participation. Decisions to remove comments are based on these standards rather than whether a comment agrees with The Current.
